Quality Assurance
At Cambridge Steel Fabricators and Engineers we aim for faultless steel construction on every project. We use strong management systems and leading software, to track and monitor every project closely.
We follow international best practices and have been independently audited to be awarded the New Zealand Steel Fabricator Certification.
We’re certified by the International Institute of Welding (IIW) Manufacturers Certification Scheme (MCS). We meet AS/NZS ISO 3834.2 Quality Requirements for the Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials, and we are an SFC Certified Fabricator Category 3.
We use leading management software, including StruMIS and Tekla, which helps us to track projects from estimate through to construction, keeping our work accurate and on time.
Our commitment to quality goes well beyond meeting industry standards. We continue to drive improvement and innovation, and our goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations of high-calibre steel construction.
Advanced 3D Scanning
Our continuous investment in the latest tools and technologies includes a class-leading Trimble Total Station V12 3D scanner, which allows us to markedly improve levels of accuracy and site efficiency. Using 3D scanning and site surveying, our team can capture highly accurate measurements of complex sites and structures to create a detailed model which can be shared on multiple BIM platforms. Our detailers use this information to identify clashes in structures, optimise sizing, and eliminate the need for rework.

Environmental Impact
Steel is infinitely recyclable, and its by-products and waste energies are valuable resources. Slag from steelmaking is reused for civil projects, saving natural resources like river gravel and scoria. New Zealand Steel shows its dedication to sustainability by meeting up to 60% of its energy needs through co-generation.
The steel industry is vital to the global circular economy, a cornerstone for a greener future. At Cambridge Steel Fabricators and Engineers, we are steadfast in our commitment to a sustainable tomorrow.
